Guys, Help. I am trying to make a tournament for the first time and the numbers are jumping all over the place and I just don't get how to enter this.

Here's what I'm trying to do, structure wise.

For round one, I want 8 singles games of 8 players each, totaling 64 players leaving 8 winners. For the second round, I want two 4 player singles games, leaving leaving 2 winners. For the third and final, I want a singles duel. Can somebody like, call me? I'll PM my phone number. I have my 150x500 banner ready and everything.

lol I'm not sure there are 108 active players let alone 108 active tourney players. This tourney will be on the board for eternity. We all make mistakes, I wouldn't worry. You will get better the more you create and learn how the tourney tool works, it takes a bit of practice. If you drop a message to Sheriff, Marco will be able to adjust it so it has less players and it works.

At least you are having a go and learning which is what counts, there are many players that complain and moan but you don't see them in here taking the time to make tourneys. Don't give up, spend some time on the tourney tool and work out what works before you click the create button. Also looking at past tourneys to see what settings have been used, that may be a good idea to get familiar. Not every tourney is possible, contrary to what people ask for and think works.

Welcome to the tourney team, you'll be smashing out great tourneys before you know it.

Even 64 players is probably too many under the current conditions, Tape. If you want the tourneys to start fairly quickly, I'd say 36 is about the top end.

Thanks for the feedback JCUK and Cardinalsrule. I'll come up with new settings for the 108 and 64 and send them to Sheriff with a request to trim them a bit for me.

I'll definitely have fun creating these. We have lots of TV show and historical war themes tournaments. I intend to make ones that are a bit more abstract. Somewhat avant garde. I don't need my themes to make any sense, as evidenced by how I've been titling games for years.

I use light image reziser on any image, its a free program, u need to set it 150x500 pixels

Okay, so I need the Boys of Summer (currently needing 108 total players to start) to have 18 players enter round 2. So instead of 9 games of 12 player doubles, which leaves 18 advancing, I'm thinking 3 games of 12 player sixers, which also gives 18 advancing. So rounds 2 and 3 are unchanged. But this approach gives us 36 to start instead.

I'll sit on Jack and the Beanstalk with 64 to start just to see. I'll email the Boys of Summer adjustment to Sheriff now.

Quick thought. I feel that 1 v 1 is very luck (dice) dependent. I would love to see more 3 or 4 player tourneys, a 3 lvl 3 player is 27 entrants. This may already have been tried and the interest may be low, but that is my two cents.
