New Doubles Forum Tournament?

How does everyone feel about 1st turn deploy and reinforce only (no attacking) for this tournament?

I don't like that much

This will be a 16 team, elimination style tournament. The bracket will be drawn at random. By that I mean I will literally put all teams in a hat, and draw them out. 1st team I pull out will play 2nd team I draw, 3rd will play 4th, etc.

All rounds will be a best 2 out of 3.

The buy in for this will be 40 points each player. Assuming we get 32 players, that is a pool of 1280 points. The prize structure will be as follows:

Winner gets 80%. That is a total 1024 points for the team, 512 points for each member.

Runner-up gets the remaining 20%. That is 256 points, 128 for each member of the 2nd place team.

A big, special thank you to Cards for once again taking the responsibility for deducting and redistributing the points at the conclusion of the tournament.

Now all we need is 16 teams, and the host needs to decide what maps will be played each round. That guy better get with it is all I can say, or I will hunt him down. I do have a good idea of what he looks like and where he tends to hang out at, so I can probably find him fairly easily. :evil:
