Honour (or honor!) rating

I doubt anyone who plays here has their number 1 objective as protecting their honour rating, but I suppose most of us want it high not low. Is there anyway of knowing who has ranked us low? We can see who we have rated high or low, but can we see what others have done to us?

Any honour eating above 60 % is very good in my book. If you fall below that, I might start to wonder. I have a feeling that many negative votes come from disgruntled real-time players who have left the site - getting a better score than 75 is almost impossible if you son't keep exclusively to t the casual games section.

Bahahaha....I get bummed when I get a bad rating and most of the time in have no idea why. Perhaps a failed run...so it looks like a suicide instead? Maybe i let somebody win? I dunno ....I try not to be too critical with my comments but sometimes it depends on the others mood and how they interpret what I said....

I have noticed that a lot of real time players have lower honor scores.

If you take it upon yourself to be a teacher and overly friendly to new players in RT, even those short tempered folk will rate you honorable. Well, some of them. I must be a unicorn though- I was crushed when my honor fell below 80 about a year ago. I'm still rockin a sexy 79(360) which ain't bad.

That's right.

There are ten people who have given you a rating, and out of those 10, six or seven have rated you honourable (that should actually be an integer number, or shouldn't it?)

My biggest problem with the honor rating is, once you rate someone "dishonorable," it's very difficult/impossible to change it. I've rated some players "dis-honorable" and then later on thought "you know, they're not so bad now" and wanted to change it, but alas...

Yeah, right, but 66 (10) should never occur, since the percentages with 10 players are always flat tens, no?

I guess the system must work to a degree as in my experience diplomatic agreements are usually respected. Guess it's very subjective so your shining virtue will not be apparent to every player.

Hmm, yeah the numbers aren't quite adding up

I see Tyler has 11 votes and a 66 score. So possible outcomes should be
-55 rating with 6 Honorable/5 Dishonorable
-64 rating with 7 Honorable/4 Dishonorable
-73 rating with 8 Honorable/3 Dishonorable

There's an intentional lag between the rate and quantity. I forgot which of the two factors updates late, but as I recall it's designed to add to the anonymity of those rating others by hiding the immediate impact after/during a recent or active game. So the math WILL add up soon, basically.
