Starting an open thread for people to suggest what should be added to the wiki.

One thing I can't seem to find is explicit statements on how combat is resolved in MajorCommand.

Yes, the combat system entry is in progress (actually, it wouldn't even be an entry itself, but a subheading in "Playing Your Turn").

Great idea for a thread. I know I have a list of "things to add to the wiki" squirreled away on my laptop somewhere, just need to exhume it and do some more writin'.

EDIT: Here's something I whipped up from a few tag ends, but I fear that it might read a bit too much like stereo instructions, especially to someone completely unfamiliar with the game. Let me know what you think:

What you have so far reads fine to me, but I'd explain the 'dice' mechanics involved, too. This might also make it easier to explain overall:

The attacker can assault with up to 3 dice by assaulting with 4 or more troops. For each troop less than 4, the attacker would assault with one less die (unable to attack with only 1 troop). The defender rolls up to two dice, so long as he has more than one troop in the territory.

Edit: And images of a 5-troop territory attacking a 3-troop, and the results, vs a 3 troop territory attacking a 1 troop, and the results, would illustrate this really well.

The dice mechanics might be more intuitive if you explained WHY...

For example:

The attacking army, even after victory, will still hold the territory it is in, so there must always be at least 1 more attacking army than the number of attacking dice.

Meanwhile, the defenders are fighting for their lives and will fight with everything they've got.
