So I was wondering how much interest there would be for
Mercenaries: The Christmas Escalation 2015
this year?

I would open signup for the game the week of (U.S.) Thanksgiving, and then that Sunday (3 days later) I would launch the respective tourneys. It would follow the same basic setup as the 2014 version:

Last time it was 10 players on each map, with these 5 maps:

  1. British Isles
  2. Cold War Europe
  3. Conflict Africa
  4. South America
  5. Rome
All maps were Mercenary, Singles, 3, Anywhere, Escalate, and Chance.

This just in, we will not be having Mercenaries: The Christmas Escalation this year. It will conflict with Master of the Maps, and there is no point in having 2 big tourneys going at once...

I wouldn't be worrying about the master of the maps doubles... I can see it going on for a VERY long time... past next christmas is my best bet.
Not so sure if The Borg version of MoM will finish before then. Plus we had the League running at the same time ok. If you want help to organize it just give me a buzz

But if no merc event this year is what you've decided then I'll still eagerly be awaiting the time that it gets revived

I'd second that. I'm not in master of maps (unfortunately), but I'd make time for both even if I were. There may a small contingent who would miss being able to do both, but I think there are plenty of us who would love to see Mercs again even if MoM is going. They're very different styles of tournament anyway, this is the only big tournament that involves games more like "real" risk.

I see no problem with both running at the same time. We just got done with the 1st season of Majcom League at the same time as MoM.

As long as one person isn't overwhelmed trying to run multiple tourney's; it's up to the individual to decide how much they can bite off.

I'm pretty sure that folks who aren't currently participating in MoM, have totally filtered that thread out.

That said, I'm in for another Mercenary League. Gonna have to try and redeem myself from last year.

Hi guys,

Just to clarify; it's not about the current MoM. I was busy working out a Mercenary MoM... Therefore I have send Malpot a message about not running it at the same time. Last I know is that Malpot was thinking of starting earlier so I can run the Mercenary MoM before my second kid arrives ;)
