41 days to go untill the next World Cup! 32 teams will play for the glory with only 1 winner!
The 2nd edition of Master of the Maps is all about the World Cup in Brazil.
The idea is pretty simple:
32 players represent a team in the World Cup according to their rank. The highest ranked player will be Spain. For the seeding the FIFA World Ranking of April 10 will be used.
The competition starts with a group phase just like the World Cup. You will play 2 1v1 games against your group opponents, 6 games in total. A home and away game.
The home playing team, player named first, will create the game with their own desired settings and invites his opponent.
If you win both games against your opponent you get 3 points, if you lose both you get 0 points, if you win 1 and lose 1 you get 1 point.
At the end of the first round the first two players of each group will go through to the next round. After we finished the first round we continue to follow the schedule of the World Cup.
From now on there will be also two games, home and away.
If it turns into a draw there will be a deciding game with one path escalite settings.
If the game has started please post a link to the game in this thread. The winner of the game has to post his victory in this thread.
Because it is Master of the Maps all the maps will be used and will be assigned by draw on www.random.org
All is fair in love and war, but honorable play is the way to go.
The buy-in will be 50 points and will be divided as follows:
First Prize: 960 points and tour of duty ribbon
Second Prize: 480 points
Third Prize: 160 points
Commanders and Strategists only.
