I don't really get the tier thing.. is it calculated from when your game starts or when the round started? And is it the total time of the game or just the individual time you each took?

I'm guessing this was before you asked me in game! All explained in game and the original note! It's simple enough anyway - play as fast as possible and you'll get points! Points will then decide whether there will be a tiebreaker round - the tiers were purely to try and make it more likely that a tie-breaker round will take place.

1 Point seperating me and Eric, which I'll count as a tie. The way I'll be doing it this round, since I am is the final round, is that me and Eric will both get to choose our own map to challenge each other on. We will both calculate our game times each round to the nearest minute.
Since it's only two people and it's calculating each round time rather than the time from when the round started, we will have to come to an agreement on what time will both suit us for us to meet online. Both games should happen at the same time, and may the fastest man win. Thank you Seek and Bud for playing.
