I'm 100%, totally, completely, absolutely AGAINST using escalite in this tourney. Just one vote, I know, but I just might sit it out if the tourney is escalite, ESPECIALLY on the CM map. I don't think this was supposed to be a marathon that would still be going on at this time next year.

I'm up for a game, or several, with round-robin partnering or with more, if people want to learn the nukes map. As sensa said, an 'open-discussion' game, where we talk strategy freely, and all learn without worrying too much about points. When I get home tonight I'll start one and invite sendadrome and bugboy, anyone else want to jump in to this?

I'm going to have to agree with Cards on this one... It's the gold donors here so I expect it to end up with almost every game with everyone still in it stuck in a stalemate, then we'll be looking for ways to solve the impasses...

That being said, it won't stop me playing though, even if it isn't my preference

Unless you make this a FLAT RATE tournament, I am out. Many of the players that would be in, are just too good at Escalate for me to compete.

Almost every time I play escalate, I feel like I am doing good, and then BOOM! The game is over and I have lost! I know that escalate has some real strategy to it. But I can not seem to master it.

Not escalite but am happy with escalate or flat rate as far as maps go then not bothered and will go with the flow. do not mind any reinforcements as long as not unlimited

Thanks for the offer, but I'll pass on the nukes, I am more old school risk, I have tried nukes a few times and did not really liked it, it comes last on my map préférences.

Well, it doesn't seem like there's a setting that everyone can agree on, so I guess it should be what the majority vote for, and hopefully everyone will at least join so that the tourney doesn't just hang forever and not start.

6p escalators on CM will normally last awhile, but not too long...
it's those 10-12 player escalators that can spin out of control before you know what happened..
but those damn escalite games, i mean, scheeesch... who the heck came up with that setting anyway?!?! :call2:

I just had a thought. I know, I know, it's against company policy. But...
Is diplo agreement banned? I know that some have a problem with it. I generally find it more enjoyable to play without it. But will happily adapt if it is on the table.

Good question. It was never discussed and probably too late to implement, so yes it's on the table. Unless you guys agree in game not to do it.

I just realized I was a silver donor, not gold, but I had voted here already. My votes were six player game, Massive, Evolved, Standard, Path, Fixed Force. Just letting you guys know so you can ignore 1 from each of those if they affect the results. Sorry about that.
