Two Player Game - Creator is AWOL

I just started a 2-player game with a newbie. It was their creation and they didn't take their first turn. The system marked them as AWOL. I took my turn and immediately was able to take another turn.

I haven't taken my second turn yet because this just doesn't feel right.

A couple things come to mind.

1. Are there any guidelines on handling a situation like this?
2. What if I skip a turn? Will the AWOL go into an infinite loop?

believe me.. i know.
i was in a game with 5 other players and every single one of them went AWOL...
after a few rounds of fortifying hoping the last one to go AWOL would come back..i decided 'fuck it' and took all their points.

damn deadbeaters.. ugh.

I think there should be a NUKE button so if all the other players go AWOL, you can blow em all away at once instead of spending forever wiping the map clean.

Completely agree. Playing with myself's never as fun as playing with others...
