How about a map of Mexico for the cartels and government to fight over.

That is nice, it would be fun to add some stuff accoridng to the plot, like ports with bonus if hold. Also as the mexico city is like very important it could be like one very big neighborhood, like the ones in uk map. Here is a little map of it:

Another option could be add several neighborhoods using cities that are important for drug trade, like Laredo, Tijuana, Tapachula, etc.

Sure.. or maybe auto deploy for those smaller more vulnerable states and areas.... maybe auto losses on the border states due to DEA and US Customs work. And yeah I think you would need to deal with the sea routes somehow as well.

So I had this brilliant idea for a map and Rimbaud had some great input and then then the Big Boss made a joke and now we're done?

I think this idea has some feet, or is it wings..??? LEGS..that's it! The idea has legs. (sorry I'm old and I digress.... did it again there in fact!) Now I know map design is on a back burner while the other site issues are taking priority BUT is there anything I can do to move this idea along.

Find... that is design a better map? Talk to Rimbaud and consolidate some of our ideas? Maybe get some input from Shepherd or other of the excellent map designers around MajCom?

Personally I like maps that reflect actual earth bound locations and maybe actual events. (Tip of the hat to calume and his historical re-inactment tournaments.) However there are only so many locales available on the planet and so many historically accurate combat scenarios. I thought this could be a good one.

I'll research cartels some more.... that might help. I don't see how that could get me in trouble.

According to our moderately-famous ex- Governor, all you'd need to do is take a trip out into the desert and you'd find "headless bodies". LOL!

That being said, only 60 miles into Mexico, a trip to Puerto Penasco to do field research on the effects of Tequila while laying on the beach might be worthwhile?
