Learning Fixed Force

I am having a hard time making the leap from Chance to Fixed Force Games. Any tips?

You need a stack with 2 more troops then the defender to win.

You can not attack with less then 3 troops.

6v6 = 2v2
6v5 = 2v1

5v6 = 2v3
5v5 = 2v2
5v4 = 2v1

3v6 = 2v5

2v6 = cannot attack
2v5 = cannot attack

Thanks. How do you handle it when there are no reinforcements? It seems like I'm stranding a bunch of troops out there.

Indeed - You need to plan ahead of time.

Think about how to move your troops out of blocked spaces, think where you want to be in the future.

Do not block yourself in. Always plan to move out with more options.

Some troops will be blocked in at the beginning and there's nothing you can do about it. You'll just have to play without them.
