Historical fiction game....

So I have an idea that might be fun.

I propose a game on Classic Massive, about 7 players, where the events of the game an written by the players as historical fiction.

After you take a turn, you would chronicle what happened as a written account. It could take the form of a letter home from a soldier, a General's diary, a diplomatic cable, a Newspaper broadsheet, or any other format you think of.

It also doesn't have to be every turn and it shouldn't be, as interesting stuff doesn't happen every turn.

If you don't know what I am talking about, say you lose an 8v1 as I just did in the South America map, then that can become a crushing defeat against some river tribe, as chronicled in a soldiers diary.

The game doesn't have to be in the same time periord for all players and you can even switch up time periods from turn to turn.

I just think it might make for some interesting reading... and writing!

- I would have thought one thread would suffice. Perhaps the posts that accompany a move might be posted in bold whereas comments on the game or on another's post are just plain text, to avoid the fiction getting lost amongst the rest

Map settings? I'd suggest escalate path - with escalate you run the risk of a short game but that's still better than the risk of a stalemate - path just seems more historical than anywhere and border too restricting.

Nevertheless the grizzled veteran made no move to take it from him, continuing to scan the horizon. The squire followed his gaze to where a threatening mass of dark clouds built and boiled. "There's a storm coming," he breathed.
The warrior looked at him at last, then reached down and took his sword from him before it's scabbarded tip touched the ground. He hefted it easily one-handedly. "That there is boy," he said, shrugging the harness on, "that there is."
