So when is this site going public?

How long has this site been active in BETA mode?

How is that going to change things for us, that are in love with the site now?

How much will it cost once it is out of BETA? Or do those of us tired soldiers that played in BETA and offered all our comments and suggestions - get free lifetime Strategist memberships

Yes, free to play 4 games at a time, but you will (annually) have to upgrade to strategist in order to play unlimited games.

MajCom will not always be free afaik.

Beta contributors do get a medal iirc

I'm more than happy to pay for Strategist. I'm glad it wont be free so our developers can spend more time and have more incentive to work to create an ever-improving product.

Grunt level will always be free, strategist class will be... hold on to your wallets, ten bucks for 6 months (thats 5 cents a day). All beta users will get a beta service award, some shinier than others depending on their contribution.

There will also be a Commander class that is $20 for 6 months, but with some ridiculously awesome extra features.

nah j/k... it depends which model we base our projections on. One of them says we have about 30 hours of work left (at which my boss (badorties) promptly laughed and ridiculed).

In all honesty though, and I know no one wants to hear this, but we are focusing on letting the product drive the schedule as opposed to the other way around. Too many poor software products are developed because the schedule is held golden. Here, we hold the product golden.

So, having said that, we will release the moment that our elaborate Quality Assurance team tell us we have passed all of their tests and met all of our requirements... and not a moment sooner.

The good news is, The west coast director of MajCom QA tells me things are coming along nicely! (The east coast guy doesnt know shitaki so, I dont worry about him)

it wont affect current games, but you will not be able to start or join new games if you do not upgrade and are over 4 games.

Will commander class be available for free upgrade during beta as well, to at least a select few, for test drives, similar to the current forum thread for a free strategist upgrade? I like to russel up some clanmates and start a few tourneys and flash my frontline to everyone just as much as the next guy, will this be a part of beta too or will we, the masses, not see much of this mode of play until release?

We may indeed upgrade some strategists for free to test commander class features. clans and tournaments will be strategist level tho.

You could make a turnament and the winner gets uppgraded to commander.
