I think it would look better if the whole tab turned red when there's new chatter as opposed to the way it is now, kinda blocky looking.

I have noticed that less people bother to even look at it. A lot less gl's and gg's here.

I've seen the same thing, but I think this is in part because we're dealing with more new players who aren't used to the gl/gg customs. I know I didn't get it when I first playing games elsewhere. And Bado is right - we have a high AWOlL % right now. Both situations will change over time.

I'm cool with the current highlight in that it is obvious without being too terribly obnoxious. But I agree that it is a bit overly aggressive - it's not necessary to highlight when I'm the one making the new posts. It's an easy fix, but not a high priority one.
