Be Aware: Changes to Classic Map

CHANGES MADE TO CLASSIC EVOLVED

1) The troop containers will be a teeny tiny bit smaller.
Colors may slightly change a bit, but overall, will be the same.

2) Region names will be moved around slightly (better placement).
The reason is, I notice most people don't keep the names turned on, and only have the troop containers showing. I would rather have the containers more centered in the regions, rather than way off to the edge of a region, to allow room for a name. Makes the map look more balanced. I've moved some names into the ocean, see South America for example. Changes will be applied to all commands, not just South America.

3) Adding "team" containers.
There's been many requests to improve the way team's are displayed on a map. Some users pick similar hue's of a certain color - but I think this may be even better. There will be 5 team colors, and within each color there will be 3 hanging stars. You can give your team the blue containers, but each player on the team a different star.

4) Adding "Bigger Font" alternate containers.
added 8 new containers to the bottom of the color list. They are labeled with "Big" in front. The containers are the same size, just the font is larger. I will keep these as well as the all the others. Lots of choices now.

Nice job RJ, I like it... but you took away my 2 favourite colours =( the black with green outline and the blue equivelant. I always play as the green one and have an enemy as the blue one. Funnily enough i don't use the red one much but you left that one. Any chance of them making a return? Pretty Please!

hmmm... i didn't save them. What specificlly were they again?
Were the centers both black, one with a green outline and one with a blue?

wow that was quick, nice one and a new yellow one to boot! Awesome.. I think an orange one would look cool too if you can be bothered Thanks though.

Already shut down the file, but i can add an orange outline.
Let me hear if there's any more feedback before I do anything else.

Might be pushing my luck here but I was thinking of what other colours would go well as outlines and I thought maybe purple might work too?

Once the Map Studios are running it might be wise to get a thread like this running for each map, so we can document the history of changes to each map.

I added a blurb in the wiki about the update, and i was going to update the map image with the newly arranged region names, but can't figure out how to upload a picture. Inc? care to share?

I like most of the changes, but making the troop containers smaller is a big problem for me. Did you change the font of the numbers also? I'm having a really hard time seeing them.

Hey thone did you make sure to select "Everything" in the clear history / time range to clear bit. I cleared my cache last night on FF and mine looks like RJ's.
