UPDATE:

I know there hasn't been an update for a while, but that was because I've been waiting to give everyone some terrific news! Unfortunately, the news won't be as good as I hoped, but still better then some have speculated...

GOOD NEWS

- The only thing left to do is integrate the BETA games with the Player's Scores and the Scoreboard. Then we can continue playing like normal without the need for Flash.

NOT SO GOOD NEWS

- Unfortunately this will not be ready until some time in Janurary.

GOOD NEWS

- We are opening up BETA game to EVERYONE! So you can now play for FREE until we finish the integration.

GOOD NEWS / MAYBE NOT SO BAD NEWS?

- While BETA is now available to everyone, your scores will remain unaffected regardless if you win or lose any of the BETA games. So maybe now is the time to practice and try out some new maps and strategies you've been thinking of, but were always hesitant to try.

- It also means that everyone can play Fixed Force, as well as 24 player games while we keep working in the background!

SUMMARY

We all know that the regular games, including all tournaments will stop working on Dec 31. So the only thing available to play will be the BETA games after that date. I do not recommend starting a regular game unless it is real-time, or that you are certain it can be completed before the end of the year. Currently it is unknown how we will transition the active games and tournaments to the new game engine, but that is something we will look at after we get the scoreboard and points integrated. Meanwhile, I hope that playing some casual games without the worry of losing points will be enough to entertain everyone until this next stage is complete.

Don't we actually have until January 12 to end our current games using Flash?

The company pushed its last update for Flash Player yesterday, and announced it will no longer support the software after December 31. It will also block Flash content from running in the player starting January 12, 2021, and recommends uninstalling the player from your computer if it's still on there.

Correct. It may still be playable until January 12th. Though it is difficult to know exactly how the browsers like Chrome and Firefox will respond after Dec 31. It's possible that some players will be able to play until Jan 12, and other will not figure out how to make it work on their computer. We will have to decide in the new year if players can still keep playing until the 12th, or if it is only fair to stop games after the 31st.

Yes. That will be changed during the next update (not sure when that will be)

But summary:

• All games started between now and the next update will have Fixed Force 2 v 1.
• All games started AFTER the next update will have Fixed Force 3 v 1. (which is the same as the regular game rules)

We just have to wait for the next update, I'll post here to let you all know.

Correct. All BETA games are currently practice/fun games. They do not count towards score, points, rank, or UDOs of any kind.

I suppose this means any tournaments that are currently filling seats are pointless to start since they won't complete in time.
