A similar idea would be when the game is full to send people both an email and an in-site message to confirm they are ready and willing to play, and the game starts when all confirm or goes to pending/waiting (for another player to replace those unconfirmed) without everyone confirming.
Not sure about the games self-deleting after 60 days (I have seen plenty of good games go through after this delay), though if the game-initiator wanted the option to do that I would be OK with it.
Or there could be the option for the team with the AFK after two rounds to call off the game (with no ratings changes), this would simply seem to be fair as long as nobody was knowingly AFK-ing (eg. playing other games here while avoiding one) to avoid point loss or something, seeing that having an AFK when the other team doesn’t is essentially a loss in most cases. Maybe this if adopted would best be limited to TvT games though, not TvTvT or TvTvTvT, etc. where a team down a player can often turtle and slowly gain strength while the other teams fight it out.
