Old Soldiers Clan member update

Fellow MajCom warrior brothers....it has been a very hard battle this year that edsdad can verify.

This past April I was diagnosed with Stage 3 esophageal cancer. Did the chemo, did radiation, and on Sept 2 underwent a 9 hour operation to remove my entire esophagus, then a replacement was made using a part of my stomach.

Been a tough recovery with spending almost the entire month of Sept in the hospital. Recovery has been slow, but steady, probably another 2 months or so to go.

Today marks the 45 year anniversary of my discharge from the marine Corps ( first time ).

Let me get some more recovery down the road and I SHALL RETURN !

Never doubt a stubborn assed Marine, and failure is NOT an option !

Yep, considering the alternative, it's good to be back....I did scare the crap outta edsdad a couple of times during my cancer fight.

I was informed today that Capt Sweatpants had expired thgis past January...wow, just wow...I have been busy with my own cancer battle ( winning at the moment , have 1 major surgery to go ) and his loss is deeply felt by me, and the rest of the Old Soldiers Clan as well. I also made arrangements to fund the Kickstarter project for MajCom in his honor. I strongly encourage all MajCom members to do the same.

Hey Sapper ! Next slice & dice set for December 9th, in Seattle. I'll try and do better about choosing some maps to battle on, just trying to focus on prepping for the last big push operation.

My old buddy edsdad will always have info on my status & updates.
