Since the Majcom League and the Metagame are stopped at the moment I thought it would be nice to have a new sort of tournament.
What is Master of the Maps all about?
You will play every map available at Major Command in a 4 player game. When you win the game you will earn a point. The player with the most points at the end of the 21 games will be the winner. We are looking for the most versatile player at MajCom!
The 21 maps are randomly divided over 5 rounds. Every week a new round opens up with 4 new maps. In the 5th round 5 new maps will be opened. There will be no deadline on when the games have to end.
When a new round opens up I will display the games that are opened for this round and against who you are playing. For every game the first player mentioned has to set up the game and invite the others to join. If the game has started please post a link to the game in the leaderboard/game draw thread.
The draw of the games are done by http://www.random.org/lists/
If a new round opens up you will receive a message in your mailbox so everybody knows it started. Please start up and join the games you are in before the next Wednesday 7.00 AM GMT+1. If you fail to this you are disqualified for the tournament.
To make the tournament interesting for a lot of players 11 of the maps will be flat rate style and 10 maps will be played escalate style. In each round there will be 2 flat rate and 2 escalate games. Other game settings will be the same for every game:
Players: 4
Objective: Standard
Teams: Single
Turn Order: Sequential
Reserves: Flat Rate or Escalate (depending on the assigned reserve)
Reinforcement Allowance: One
Reinforcement: Path
Force: Chance
Turn Length: 24 hr (casual)
For every game the first player mentioned (bold) has to set up the game and invite the others to join. If the game has started please post a link to the game in this thread. The winner of the game has to post his victory in this thread. The leaderboard will be updated as soon as possible.
Games has to be set up and joined within 7 days after opening the new round. If you have not set up or joined the games you are withdrawn from the competition.
If it turns out that we have multiple players with the most points there will be a final deciding game on the Classic Evolved map. This game will be escalate with the settings mentioned above.
Diplomacy is allowed in the games. All is fair in love and war, but honorable play is the way to go.
The buy-in will be 20 points and will be divided as follows:
First Prize: 470 points + Duty Ribbon Master of the Maps
Second Prize: 282 points
Third Prize: 188 points
With multiple players on 2nd spot the 50% reserved for the number 2 and 3 will be equally divided over the numbers 2.
