Map Idea: New Zealand

:wavey: :hello: :ciao: New Zealand! No, not a state of Australia, no not just a colony of the UK, an independent nation with about 4 million proud people, a third living in my home city Auckland. Still "officially" being under the rule of the Queen and once being fully under the British rule I thought it could be similar to the British map by having breakouts of the main cities-Definitely Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington, maybe Tauranga, Dunedin and Hamilton?

:bebored: The main reason why I thought of this as a map was I was thinking about Christchurch and it's earthquake a couple of years ago, and thought of the troops in the city going down by 1 each turn (but earning more than what is lost.)


I took a prowl around and these are some good examples of what the map could be looking like, with the breakout zones not included but hopefully you get the general idea!

I'd like a new British-style map - definitely more vibrant colours for New Zealand, though

You could make it somewhat Middle-Earth-themed as well?

NOOOOO the LoTR is just a poor marketing scheme, please don't humiliate us to that We're a country of proud heritage, not where the long and fantastic movies were made

looking at your profile pic, I should have guessed that was the wrong kind of idea to come up with....

I'm not reducing NZ to Middle Earth, but that is definitely something NZ is known for and having a troll or a hobbit on the map doesn't discredit it in any sense, I think

I mean, as long as the whole map isn't Lord of the Map themed and it's just on hobbiton or something ;P I'm ok with that!
