My vote's for masterj's mini 1v1 tournament to resolve the 4-way tiebreak.

Personally, I like the assassin idea Cardinalsrule proposed for the tiebreak. I now like assassin. But I am conscious that this is not a universally popular format.
So, how about a 2v2 game, partners randomly selected by masterj. Then the victors battle for the belt, the losers for 3rd place.
Just an idea, I haven't thought too long about it so there are probably lots of holes in it.

A good idea also. However, even in 2v2 there's a first team advantage. Not sure how to solve this in a timely manner.

Masterskye's mini tournament would work. Or just a four way mercenary, but I don't know.

Regarding the 4-way tie in Bronze, I was thinking of having a mini-tourney.

Normally in a tie-break situation we ask the 2 people tied to play two games on the same map, alternating who goes first. If someone wins both then they are the winners. If not, then they play another two games on a different map and so on until one person wins two in a row.

In this case, we could do that and then have the two winners go on to face each other for first and second place, and the two that were defeated could fight it out over who gets third place and the promotion. It could mean quite a few games are required though (at least four).

I'm not altogether sold on the assassins or doubles ideas since it's a 1v1 competition and I think it should be decided with 1v1's.

Alternatively, we could always split the points 4 ways and leave it at that, but then there would be no guaranteed promotions from bronze next season and no one would get the banner.

That sounds like a good plan. Since they're all done except for the one game that's essentially over, they could start now, so as to not hold up the next round too much.

I see both Tyro and myself still have a chance to be demoted this tournament and could become the first players to then compete in all four of the leagues (there's always a silver lining).

I am almost certain to be relegated, there is another loss to be added to me, I don't know which one is missing.
That's 3 for 3. But still my enthusiasm for this tournament is undimmed. I would understand if masterjskye wanted a small break from administering it but I am already looking forward to playing in the Bronze League.

Glad to hear it Tyro =) Not that you feel certain to be relegated but that you'd still enjoy yourself regardless!

The next season should be starting directly after the deadline, but that's dependant on whether anyone's late or if play-offs are still needed.

Yes, as has happened in the past, if an uneven number of people are tied then it is a case of splitting the points - so 66 points each. I'm afraid none of you will be guaranteed a promotion next season though.
