there's probably share-ware that would do all that this board can do (OK, maybe not) but isn't it just more satisfying to push buttons and turn knobs with your fingers than with a mouse?!?

Are the vacuum tubes functional or just for show? If they're functional, I love the cut-out to display their presence. I just finished my 1950s TV project and I saved all the vacuum tubes - looking for a use for them.

yes there is software to do all this, but not nearly as quickly or as satisfying. and yes the tubes provide some sweet analog gain, which ofcourse there is no digital filter for.

ahhh hell yeah! - you've got to upload some sound clips for us. I wish I knew / or had the time to learn how to use that stuff.

it takes about 20 minutes to learn. this stuff is pretty intuitive. but it can take a while to master.

That's a pretty unreal piece of equipment, probably more powerful than any of the sound boards we have at work (which is unsurprising, given that I'm wont to describe my place of business as a museum of dead technology... lol)

Th Electribe series sounds very nice (as does all modern korg stuff) and is very easy to use as its arpegiators damn near make the beats for you. You definitely have hours of fun on your hands there my friend.
