Lag??

Hiya all - is the sudden influx of corona-quarantined new players responsible for the terrible lag on the site for the moment, or does it have another corona-related explanation? Or maybe it's just that time of the month again - whatever it is, is there a light in the end of the tunnel that the site'll speed up again or is it time to introduce the new engine sooner than planned?

From here it is hard to tell if it is the increased use of the server or if it internet traffic in general since everyone is at home watching Disney+ or Netflix. Either way it is annoying.

I've experiened this too. I was gonna be a new player mentor in real time like Sheriff asked, but... not like this.

Don't think it is general internet traffic. In my experience it seems to be specific to this site.

It is certainly linked to the general internet traffic, though. There's hardly any lag on European mornings, when America sleeps, but once America wakes up, it becomes more and more laggy until it's almost unbearable on Eropean evenings. I gave up taking my turns yesterday evening, knowing it would be much easier to do so this morning

I completely agree Sebrim, we (Europeans) play easier in the morning, when the States sleeps ^^.
