how do you know if you can join a tournamant?

I see a lot of tournamants going on but i cant see if you still can join it.And cost much of time to look in to it or energy cguru: . Maybe a symbol so you can see you can join it.

Maybe just a prominent notice on the front page post stating whether it is still open to anyone, accepting reserves only, or closed.
