Hi, I've only played a few games and recently broke a truce when the other party only had 1 troop, on 1 land left. The other players went nuts but I thought it was good move to get the 3 cards that player had. How important is the honor stat, is there ever a good time to break truce, what negatives are there to doing it? I appreciate the response and thanks as I'm trying to learn on this site.

As it seems your Honour score has little basis in honour, and is often simply a negative vote from some irate guy you just knocked out, shouldn't it be reviewed? It seems most newer players, myself included, until I read this thread, used honour as a guideline to a player's trustworthiness, not the diplomacy score. Voting someone dishonourable is the only way for player's to vent their anger when things don't go their way, and they often do, even if no treaties have been broken and the play has been fair.

I don't think most people are that childish, to rate a player dishonourable just for beating them fair and square. They'll be a tiny few who do, of course, but for the most part we're a little more reasonable here.

Hi Swashbuckler

I have never liked the honour tab for just that reason you stated...It is easily open for abuse by childish petty grudges. More often in real time games with new players that don't understand the better community here that's for sure.

More to the point, it is no true reflection on someones `honour`

I petitioned for a `notes tab` that you can make your own notes on a player for future reference.

i click dishonourable when someone REPEATEDLY does one or a combination of the following things:

1) keeps calling me names
2) his actions result in both of us losing even when it should be obvious to him
3) does not keep his word/ break treaties (i don't wait for repetition to happen for this one )

No excuse for breaking a treaty,PERIOD.
I prefer an honorable death to having to break my word.
