many years back i used to play quite a bit of risk online. not fully sure anymore where i saw it, but after the game was finished, you could watch a game recap that showed all moves that happened during the game again - just in much higher speed (just an estimate, but the recap of a normal 4 player realtime game was coming down to less than a minute. the time would of course vary depending on the number of players and turns). i always enjoyed watching that once the game was over.
especially for the casual games here with many players this would be a great feature. you sometimes play your turn with all players still being in the game and the next thing you see is that the game is over. it would be great to actually be able to see the turns that happened in between, not just try to grasp it from the record tab.

i have no clue how much effort it would be to implement such a feature. but all turns are anyhow logged, so they would just have to be visualised on the map again

You are right Elris. Hasbro had that in their original online game. Was very interesting.

I came to the forum to make this suggestion, glad I searched before I posted. I spend a lot of time in the r/mapporn subreddit, and the most fun maps to watch are the ones that animate changes over time, whatever those changes may be. I was looking at one today and thought wow I would love to rewatch some of my MC games like this. It would be educational in that you could study different tactics, or you could just appreciate the ebb and flow of frontlines, heck even just watching the pretty colors bloom around the map would be cool. Anyway, I know there's a lot in the works but this would be a super fun addition one day down the line.

In the old flash game, you were able to see what happened each round...i'm sure they will re-code it again.
