Hello everyone! I'm trying out my first escalite game. I want to know how important is it to hold a command? I know with escalating it is not important to hold a command....is that somewhat true for escalite? It's a 6 player game on classic evolved. Thanks for your input. ;)

My advise is to never join an escalite game. Recipe for stalemate. But yes, you need to try for a command.

It depends on map size. On small maps it plays mostly like flat rate, on larger ones I agree with cards its likely the best way to get a stalemate unless you play with lots of people, but even then I've ended up with lots of 3 people stalemates in escalate.

I agree with both Cards and haWD96lz, but when playing those games I only go for a command when I feel I can hold it without a lot of trouble. It's quite different then escalate. Here you want your troops consolidated to an area rather then try to hold two or even three tert's in different locations on the board

Hmpf. Do you guys think escalite is a recipe for stalemate more than flat rate?

but even then I've ended up with lots of 3 people stalemates in escalate.

You mean escalIte, not escalAte, right?
