lol - What I would say is: don't be put-off by 'casual' (24 hour) games. They can often end up being more like real-time games if you are both on the site at the same time. Let me know if you'd like a game, I'm often online.

From time to time someone will post "real time now" an open invitation to a RT game.
I've also noticed that Thursday nights (US CST) there are more players on the site than
other nights.
