OK, let's do Balkan Peninsula. 24 players with 12 NP's. NP's will be worth half of the total player points obtained. The NP's eliminated (*) and the NP's stolen (+) will have no effect after we finish Round #4... only needed for a tie-breaker after this 4th round if necessary...
So it doesn't matter who wins the final game, winner is the player with the most points at the end...

What about no attacks the first turn? It's gonna take a long time for the 12 NP's to go AWOL. I don't think attacking right away is fair...

And what about playing Classic Massive again? I like a bigger map for 24 players. But still no attacking first turn, just deploy and fortify...
 
At this time there are only 6 NP's created. It will be up to @periwinkle to approve and create 6 more NP's 'if that is the route you decide to go.
 
I like Once's suggestion. It has a nice "catch up" mechanic. If it was me personally, I'd make them worth less, half current points maybe? The advantage that the first few players have fought hard to obtain over the first 4 games is essentially trivialized due to the sheer number of point that would be available in this last match.
Once’s suggestion sounds fun indeed. I agree that there should a balanced system that lets a path to victory to all participants and that also keeps the edge some have gained throughout the tournament.

What about 6 NPs with the same value and whose total would be worth the total the last player would need in order to catch up and win ? If they’re all worth 3 or 4 points for example, there would be enough points on the board for anyone to get the most points and win the tournament.

It is a good idea with a big map like massive. Not so sure about "no attacking first turn, just deploy and fortify". It will be an advantage for the one who gets to go first anyhow. + 6-12 neutrals will allow for multiple strategies, reducing the advantage of going first.
