Just don't play in multiplayer singles games together and you're good, buddy. Thanks for letting us know.

Very random question for Pitman, but is there a way that this can be avoided in Tournaments with settings?

There's no way to avoid them possibly being in the same singles game in tourneys. At that point you just have to trust that they won't play together.
