An Invite to The Ladder Challenge - an ongoing Training and Combat Event by the Boot Camp Training Clan

There are already 11 members in the Clan. The Rules are in the First Post in this Thread (and are subject to change as needed to improve the fun and the challenge and the participation of the Challenge).

Here is the Ladder, Day 1. The initial rung rankings are somewhat biased .From here on, all new clan members will start at the bottom of the ladder.

Reporting back that TankEater wiped the floor with me in our 1v1 ladder duel. Also reporting back that it was fun and educational and TankEater took the time to explain his moves, how to approach Fixed games differently, and generally increased my love of MC.

Sadly there is no way in 'Beta' to let people know that this is a private duel. Best approach is to agree between the two of you of a good time to launch so that both can be onboard before the jumpers jump in. One on one matches don't last long in 'Awaiting' players tab.

It was a fun game, and BigShoes was very generous with input and advice, even helping analyze my moves with me, in fact the entire game was an open conversation and I loved it. Thanks BigShoes!

Thanks needpapertowel for the kind words. NPT was solid in his game play and strategies. Wish my dice had been a little better to have given him more of a competitive game to have pushed him some. We have a nice conversation and got to know each other a little. I really like this format. It is much like sitting at a card table and playing the game and talking about it and other things at the same time. Good job NPT and look forward to the next time our game paths cross.

welcome to the Ladder Challenge, lovgov. You'll be started at the top of the ladder at rung #1 and ranking "new". As a "NEW" recruit yu can challenge anyone on the ladders to a duel. You can suggest maps and settings that you'd like to gain more experience with or you can suggest your favorite map and settings - - - but, like any duel the person being challenged has the final say as to weapons, or in this case the map and the settings.

If luck and good fortune smile on you and you win, your rank changes from "NEW" to the rank of the person you defeated and they and everyone below them move down 1 rung on the ladder. If you don't win, nothing changes on the ladder. Either way enjoy the battle and the chance to get to chat with another player one-on-one.

Any unreported active duels?

"New" players are players that have joined the Clan since the Ladder Challenge started and have not yet won a duel.

'New' players can challenge anyone to a duel. It they win against a 'Rank'ed player then they take that person's Rung and win that player's Rank on the Ladder . The defeated player and everyone below them move down one Rung and one Rank.

If the 'new' player does not win the duel then there is no change in either player's Rung or the Rank.

The Primary objective is to have Fun while helping newer players, and not so 'newer' players get better acquainted with the maps and the strategies and tips on how to improve one's skills and success when playing MajorCommand maps.
