Hi all, I play a lot of 1v1 and know there are quite a few others who do. There have recently been a few 1v1 tournaments, but I think something on a larger scale would be cool.
I think this could be set up pretty simply. 10-16 people enter, 50-70 point fee (large, yes), and everyone plays everyone else 2 times. You pick one of the maps, your opponent the other, and you play 2 games. Rinse and repeat for the next round. Split the pot 80/15/5 among the top 3 by most total wins.
I also think these sorts of things do attract people and keep them interested. Looking through the archives, I wish I could try battle of the belt, but it doesn't look like anything similar has been in quite a while. Hopefully, this could be interesting but require way less upkeep than the game of game's boards.
