I have a game that identifies one individual with a symbol next to their name and says they are my target? This a new feature? Never seen it.

Solution
There are 3 different types of games. You can read it in the Wiki - https://wiki.majorcommand.com/Game_Options

  1. Standard: You win by being the last player alive, and then the game ends.
  2. Mercenary: Players gain points from every other player they eliminate. Regardless of who the last player alive is.
  3. Assassin: Each player is randomly assigned a target. Their target is highlighted in the Intel tab, and noted privately in the Chatter tab. The winner of the game is the player whose target is eliminated, even if their target is eliminated by someone else, they will still win.

You can see which type of game it is on the info panel.

It sounds like you are playing in the assassin setting. That is the player you must kill before other players kill their target. Make sure you only kill your target. If you manage to accidentally kill another person while getting to your target....you will lose the game (because you helped another person kill their target). Does that make sense?
